September 1: Olympic champion Libby Trickett has today announced a come back to the pool after less than 12 months in retirement with her long term plans to swim at the 2012 London Olympics.
Trickett announced her retirement after last years World championships in Rome amidst the swim suit controversy which had engulfed the sport.

AOC, August 21:The Australian swim team has saved the best ‘til last claiming five medals, including a gold to Victoria's Emily Selig, on the final day of competition at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore.
Selig continued Australia's breaststroke dominance, charging home for gold in the 200m event in a time of 2 minutes 27.78 seconds - making her the 10th fastest Australian.

SWIMMING, August 19: Olympians Marieke Guehrer, Emily Seebohm and Jessicah Schipper have given Australian a golden start to the 2010 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Irvine California today.
The golden girls accounted for Australia's three gold medals as swimming returned to swimming after the sinking of the suits following last year's World Championship fiasco in Rome.

AOC, August 19: A triumphant men's medley relay team has led the Australian swim team to a massive haul of six medals on the fourth day of competition at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore.
If this performance from the Australian swimmers is anything to go by then the future of the sport at the highest level looks to be in the safest of hands.

AOC, August 18: Australian swimmers have repeated their solid efforts from the opening two nights clinching a silver medal through Emma McKeon in the 100m freestyle and pushing several others through to finals.
McKeon took silver in a personal best time of 55.37 seconds, behind China's Tang Yi who won the gold in a lightning-quick time of 54.46 secs which would have won the Australian Open Championship this year - ranking her 10th in the world for 2010.

AOC, August 17: Nicholas Schafer made history at the pool tonight winning Australia's first gold medal at the inaugural Youth Olympic Games in the 100m breaststroke. "It was a proud moment," he said. "One that I will never forget."

AOC, August 16: The Australian 4 x 100m freestyle mixed relay team claimed its country's second medal of the Games - a silver - going down to the relentless Chinese by just 35 hundredths of a second in a thriller typical of Olympic competition.
The race was the first of its kind for Olympics swimming, with men and women competing against each other in the same event.

Lausanne (SUI), July 26, 2010 - After San Francisco (USA) in 2006 and Perth (AUS) in 2008, it is now the turn of the cities of Gothenburg, Boras and Molndal (SWE) to host the Federation's biggest aquatics celebration in terms of participation, the FINA World Masters Championships, the 13th edition of which kicks off July 27 and concludes August 7, 2010.
