Australia Post has delivered six Australian Gold Medallist stamps in the past week for our gold medal winning girls in the pool with each of the stamps being available for sale in Australia within 48 hours of the medal presentation ceremony.

The stamps released for our Australian swimmers all feature images of the athletes taken on the gold medal dais. The stamps release are as follows:

Women's 4 x 100m medley relay featuring Emily Seebohm, Leisel Jones, Lisbeth Trickett and Jessicah Schipper

Women's 4 x 200m freestyle relay featuring Kylie Palmer, Bronte Barratt, Linda MacKenzie and Stephanie Rice

Women's 400m Individual Medley - Stephanie Rice

Women's 100m Butterfly - Lisbeth Trickett

Women's 100m Breaststroke - Leisel Jones

Women's 200m Individual Medley - Stephanie Rice

Stephanie Rice features on three Gold Medalist Stamps at these Olympic Games making her the equal most stamped Australian Olympian at a single Olympic Games since Australia Post first honoured our gold medalists in Sydney 200. Her achievement is equal with Petria Thomas and Jodie Henry from Athens 2004, and Ian Thorpe from Sydney 2000.

Leisel Jones and Libby Trickett are the next most stamped athletes from these games so far with Leisel featuring on two Gold Medallist Stamps (women's 4 x 100m medley relay, and women's 100m breaststroke) and Libby also featuring on two (women's 4 x 100m medley relay, and women's 100m butterfly). Both Leisel and Libby have previously featured on stamps from Athens 2004.

Australia Post is producing stamps for every Australian gold medallist from the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, and they are expected to be4x100 medley relay stamp.jpg available in metropolitan Australia Post outlets within 48 hours of each gold medal presentation.
