QAS star Campbell, third to Britta Steffen and Dara Torres over 50 metres in Beijing, is the fastest qualifier for tonight's semi-finals of the 50m freestyle.

And she will be joined by a host of fellow teenagers, including 14-year-old Brittany Elmslie (third fastest on (25.41), 19-year-old Rebecca Ohlwein (fourth on 25.48) 17-year-old Merindah Dingjan (sixth  on 25.68), Kasey Pilgrim (seventh on 25.80) and her own 14-year-old kid sister Bronte (eighth on 25.93).

Throw in Athens Olympian Marieke Guehrer (fifth on 25.57) and20-year-old  NSWIS flyer Olivia Halicek (second on 25.35) and the race will be on for places in the final.

On the men's side of the ledger it will be Miller and record-breaking butterflyer Jaukovic who will command the attention.

Miller is on target to follow in the footsteps of Olympians Chris Fydler and Matt Targett when he lines up in tonight's semi-finals of the 100m freestyle.

The 21-year-old from the Cranbrook eastern Edge Swim Club, last night won his first National title when he and fellow NSWIS Squad member Matthew Abood (Kingscliff) went 1-2 in a helter-skelter 50m freestyle final last night.

The Angelo Basalo coached Miller sped through the two short 25 metre laps in 21.89 - the ninth fastest Australian in history - just 0.01 faster than 1998 championship winner Fydler - who went on to win Olympic gold in Sydney in 2000.

Abood was only marginally behind in 21.95 with AIS-based Cameron Prosser taking home the bronze in 21.96, with NSWIS Squad tom miller photo delly carr sal.jpgmember and 2003 winner Jonno Newton fifth in 22.26.

"To be mentioned in the same breath as swimmers like Chris Fydler and Matt Targett is just amazing - and to win my first Australian title is a huge thrill," said Miller.

"My main goal is London 2012 and this is just a great start for me."

Miller was back in the water this morning and heads the qualifiers for the semi-finals of the 100m freestyle, clocking 48.68 ahead of  QAS 200m freestyle winner Kyle Richardson (48.78) and Prosser (48.99).

Fydler and Targett are the only two sprinters to have won the 50-100m double over the past decade.

Jaukovic (Sydney University) will be hoping to continue his record-breaking run when he lines up in the 50m butterfly final.

Jaukovic twice lowered the Australian All-Comers record yesterday with times of 22.79 (heat) and 22.75 (semi-final) after his Australian All-Comers mark of 50.37 on night two. Arnamnart will also line up in the 50m backstroke final.

The world record stands at 22.60 and Adam Pine's Australian mark is set at 22.70.

Tonight's finals session begins at 6.30 with tomorrow's heats due to start at 10am. Tickets can be purchased at the door and start at $3 for children / concession and $5 for adults.
