Saturday, March 16: ITU Mooloolaba World Cup – Men: 3pm.

Australia’s next generation of men stamp their authority on the opening ITU event of 2013. Victorian Peter Kerr has been in sizzling early season form and the likes of Ryan Bailie, Ryan Fisher, Taylor Cecil, Cameron Good and Mitch Kealey continue their climb up the rankings. One To Watch: Javier Gomez (ESP) the Olympic silver medallist and two-time ITU World Champion.

Sunday, March 17: ITU Triathlon Oceania Cup – Men and Women: 6:35am.  Men: A red hot field including former National High performance Squad member Dan Wilson and a host of youngsters including Kenji Nenner, Declan Wilson, Matt Baker and Joel Tobin-White.  One to watch: Declan Wilson, who impressed with his fourth placing behind Kerr, Bailie and Huggett in Devonport. Women: Wollongong’s Australian Sprint Champion Grace Musgrove who was third in Wellington last week is the stand out girl here among the pick of the Australian Juniors including two-time Australian Junior Series and Championship winner, AYOF gold medallist Jaz Hedgeland, Gillian Backhouse, Ellie Salthouse, Holly Grice and

 

Maddison Allen. One to watch: Grace Musgrove who has looked the goods in Geelong, Devonport and Wellington.
 
Sunday, March 17: ITU Mooloolaba World Cup – Women: 12.45pm:
 
 Two of Australia’s famed triathlon Emmas – Moffatt and Jackson will line up in a small but select field alongside fellow Aussies Charlotte McShane, Natalie Van Coevorden and Sarah Deuble as well as a classy group of internationals including Andrea Hewitt (NZL), Anne Haug (GER) and Jodie Stimpson (GBR). One To watch: Anne Haug (GER) who won the ITU Grand Final in Auckland last year and finished second to Olympic silver medallist Lisa Norden in the ITU World Series.

The who’s who of Triathlon in Australia will gather at the Novotel Twin Waters Resort, Ocean Drive, Twin Waters (6:30pm) for the recognition of Australia’s triathlon achievers throughout 2013 from World Champions Aaron Royle, Pete Jacobs, Chris McCormack, Bill Chaffey and Felicity Sheedy-Ryan to our leading age groupers, coaches and officials. Monday, March 18: 2013 : Australian Youth Triathlon Championships (AYTC) – Novotel Twin Waters Resort:
 
The cream of Australia’s youth athletes will converge on the Sunshine Coast for the second AYTC in the following categories - 13 & 14yo Male & Female (Distances – 400m/12km/3km); 15 & 16yo Male & Female (Distances – 600m/16km/4km); 17 & 18yo Male & Female (Distances – 750m/20km/5km).
 
Tuesday, March 19: 2013: Australian Youth Triathlon Championships (ATYC) - Novotel Twin Waters Resort ; Teams from all over Australia will come together to combine in Triathlon’s latest addition to the Olympic program for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games and the Rio Olympics - the Relay. 13-15yo Mixed Teams Triathlon Relay (4 x 200m/4km/1.2km); 16-18yo Mixed Teams Triathlon Relay (4 x 200m/4km/1.2km).
