AUSSIES MEMORIAL SERVICE
SURF LIFE SAVING, April, 20 2013: The 2013 Australian Surf Life Saving Championships Memorial Service will be held at North Kirra Beach tomorrow morning (Sunday, April, 21).
The service will be in honour of those lifesavers who have passed away over the past 12 months.
The families of the three young lifesavers who have lost their lifesavers at the Aussies – Robert Gatenby (1996), Saxon Bird (2010) and Matthew Barclay (2012) – have accepted the SLSA’s invitation to attend the service.
Where: North Kirra Beach (Presentation arena)
When: Sunday April 21, 2013
Time: 6.15 for 6:45am
Film crews attending the Service are requested to arrive at the Media Compound by 6am for accreditation and to be in place in the specific media risers by 6:15.
The VIPS will arrive at 6:45am.
There will be another Mixed Zone area set up on the waters edge when special wreaths are laid by the three families.
For those crews/networks unable to attend a VNR highlights reel will be sent out.
