M5 SIGNS 2013 IM ASIA-PACIFIC WOMENS CHAMPION CORINNE ABRAHAM
Brisbane, May 13, 2013: M5 Management proudly announces the signing of women’s pro triathlete Corinne Abraham, winner of the 2013 Urban Hotel Group Asia Pacific Championships in Melbourne.
Abraham of Wales, is relatively new to triathlon media, but not new to the sport, with nearly four years professional experience.
Abraham joins an already stellar M5 Management portfolio, along with former IM 70.3 World Champion Melissa Hauschildt, as well as 2012 London Olympic Bronze Medalist Erin Densham, Sydney FC Head Coach Frank Farina and four-time basketball Olympian and Sydney Kings Head Coach, Shane Heal.
“Having worked hard to achieve podium results throughout 2012 and to win the Asia Pacific Championships in 2013, I am looking to continue my progression in the sport at world class level,” said Abraham. “Partnering with M5 Management enables me to focus all my time, efforts and energies on training and concentrate on reaching my full potential racing”.
Abraham dominated the field in Melbourne and finished with a blistering time of 8:10:56 – a staggering 16 minutes ahead of her nearest competitors Yvonne van Vlerken (Austria) and the previous year’s champion Caroline Steffen (Switzerland).
A former member of the Welsh Judo squad, Abraham turned professional in 2010 after placing first in the female age grouped athlete and third overall at IM Regensburg in Germany. Prior to her win in Melbourne, Abraham took fourth at IM Texas, third at the European Championships and third at IM Arizona.
