LISTEN TO FOOTY FINALS FEVER ON HMG RADIO
September 18: Footy finals fever will be dominating our lives for the next three weeks with the AFL and NRL premierships going down to the wire.
The team at Hanson Media Radio have produced the first of their Footy Finals Previews for 2009 with Ian Hanson joined by Darren Madigan and Kurt Hanson to discuss what will be an exciting weekend of matches.
It all starts tonight with the first of the AFL preliminary finals between the Western Bulldogs and St Kilda at the MCG (7.30pm) and the first of the NRL semi-finals between the Gold Coast Titans and the Parramatta Eels at the Sydney Football Stadium (7.45pm).
Tomorrow is blockbuster Saturday with the 2008 AFL champions Geelong meeting the ever present Collingwood at the MCG (7pm) for a place in the premiership decider in what is sure to be a sellout while the Brisbane Broncos face NRL minor premiers the St George-Illawarra Dragons at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane tomorrow night at 7.30pm.
The two AFL winners will fight out the flag next Saturday while NRL winners will progress to next weekend's preliminary finals - the winner of the Broncos v St George to face the 2008 Premiers the Melbourne Storm while the Parramatta v Titans winner will play the Canterbury Bulldogs for the right to play-off for the premiership.
The boys also run their eyes over the final Tri-Nations game in Wellington, when Robbie Deans takes the Wallabies over the ditch to face the mighty All Blacks...all on HMG Radio.
