HANSON MEDIA GROUP APPOINTED TO COOLY ROCKS ON FESTIVAL

August 31: The Hanson Media Group, has been appointed as the official PR, Marketing, Promotions and Communications Consultants for the 2011 Cooly Rocks On, nostalgia and rock ‘n' roll festival.

Cooly Rocks On will attract over 75,000 people into the Gold Coast-Tweed region for the June 3-13 festival.

Festival President Steve Archdeacon welcomed the appointment saying: "We're delighted to have the Hanson Media Group on board - they have a great national and international network - and we look forward to them spreading the word about Cooly Rocks On.

"We want to take Cooly Rocks On to all Australians and to overseas markets and we will be working closely with Hanson Media Group to do that, to maximize the tourism and economic benefits for the regions.

"It is our aim to make Cooly Rocks On the best winter, nostalgia and rock'n'roll festival in Australia - using the unique and beautiful precincts of Coolangatta and Tweed Heads."

Hanson Media's Group Managing Director Ian Hanson said he was delighted to have his Group appointed to head the PR and Marketing program.

"It's very exciting, indeed, to be involved in such a vibrant festival which has really captured the imagination of people from all over Australia, including New Zealand and Asia." Hanson said.

"Such a Festival has a great tradition within the Gold Coast-Tweed regions attracting the best bands, dancers and classic cars, coupled with so much else on offer to visitors at a time of the year when the warm winter sun shines on Coolangatta - it really is the place to be in Australia."

Hanson Media Group's appointment follows the appointment of former Rally Australia Operations Manager, Bob Newman, to the key role of Festival Operations Manager.

The Hanson Media Group has been in operation on the Gold Coast since 1998 and have again been appointed as..... the official media management group for the 2010 Coolangatta Gold.....the 2010-11 Kellogg's Nutr-Grain Iron Man Trial....the 2010 Hyperion Gold Coast International Rugby 7s.... and the 2011 Australian Surf Life Saving Championships.
