Cooly Rocks On is the new name for the Festival set down for the Coolangatta-Tweed Heads region from June 3-13 next year.

Rainbow Bay  Realty principal and director Tim Fydler, Outrigger Twin Towns Resort General Manager Niel Mason and the Manager of Pyramid Holiday Park, Tweed Heads Gwenda Byrne joined Mr Archdeacon to confirm their support for the festival.

"We believe the 2011 Cooly Rocks On festival will be one of the most exciting nostalgia festivals ever staged in the region," Mr Archdeacon has said in an open letter to all local businesses.

"It's a cultural celebration of everything that was cool about the 1950s and 1960s and everything that's hot about 2011.

"Our plans are to make Cooly Rocks On the biggest and best nostalgia festival in Australia and the response so far as we put together next year's event has been very encouraging indeed.

"But what we need is the support of everyone in the region to make our festival rock and to make it the huge success we all know it can be.

"They want to be part of it and they want to ensure the immediate and future success of Cooly Rocks On for our region.

"If it is going to be bigger and better then everyone has to play their part and get involved.

"Over the next two weeks, representatives of the Cooly Rocks On committee will be knocking on doors seeking support for their festival.
