City of Perth rising star joins big guns for Aussies Press Conference

Surf Life Saving Australia, March 28, 2014: The biggest names in Surf Sports will be joined by a rising star at the 2014 Australian Surf Life Saving Championships official pre-event press conference at Scarborough next Tuesday.

City of Perth beach sprint and beach flags star Gabrielle Murphy will join Ironmen Shannon Eckstein (Northcliffe), Kendrick Louis (Newport) and Trevor Hendy (Surfers Paradise) as well as Ironwoman Courtney Hancock (Northcliffe) and Olympian and surf ski queen Naomi Flood (Manly) to kick start this year’s Aussies.

The conference will be held at the VIP Marquee on Scarborough Beach at 10am.

The Line Up:

Shannon Eckstein (Northcliffe): Five-time Australian Ironman champion
Kendrick Louis (Newport): Two-time National Age Ironman champion
Trevor Hendy (Surfers Paradise): Six-time Australian Ironman champion
Courtney Hancock (Northcliffe): Two-time Australian Ironwoman champion
Naomi Flood (Manly): Olympian and four-time Australian single ski champion
Gabrielle Murphy (City of Perth): Reigning Open Beach Relay champion and U19 beach sprint champion
