2014 COOLANGATTA GOLD MEDIA ALERT
Surf Life Saving Australia, October 30, 2014: his weekend will see the 14th staging of Surf Lifesaving's toughest endurance Ironman race The Coolangatta Gold with the Short Course on Saturday (November 1) and the Championship Long Course event on Sunday (November 2).
- The short course winners will take approximately 3 hours 15 to 3 hours 45
MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES
FRIDAY:
8am: Defending women's champion Liz Pluimers will be at Coolangatta Beach for a 30 minute interview/photo opportunity
9.30am: Five time men's champion Caine Eckstein will have his final ski training session at Northcliffe tomorrow morning and will be available to the media from 9.30-10am.
SATURDAY:
6am: Media Centre Open, Coolangatta Surf Club (entry from beachside)
7am: Elite Male Athletes will depart Coolangatta followed by the Elite Females at 7:10 and Age Group and Teams waves in 10 minute intervals until 8:10.
SUNDAY
6am:Media Centre Open, Coolangatta Surf Club (entry from beachside)
7am: Elite Male Athletes will depart Coolangatta followed by the Elite Females at 7:10 and Age Group and Teams waves in 10 minute intervals until 8:10.
