SECONDS OUT AS SURF SPORTS STARS ADD PUNCH TO PRACTICE

SURF SPORTS, July 20: Training is hotting up for Australia's surf sports star with their eyes on this year's Kellogg's Nutri-Grain Ironman Series Trial (August 27 and 28) and the Coolangatta Gold (September 25) and the Sunshine Coast has emerged as one of the "go to spots" for training.

Not only for Sunshine Coast locals like Matt Poole, Josh Minogue, Allira Richardson and Alicia Marriott but also for a host of inter-State competitors from NSW and Tasmania.

Mooloolaba coach Michael King has added some "punch into practice" for his squad with specialised boxing classes.

The squad will be put through their paces tomorrow Thursday with the media invited to get up close and personal when the bell goes. Interviews from 9.30am and boxing classes begin from 10.30am.
