Surf Life Saving Australia, April 22, 2017: The 2018 Aussies in WA turned back the sands of time on a history-making week on Scarborough Beach which saw some the fiercest finishes in over a century of Australian Championship competition.
All eyes are always on the premier ironman and ironwoman finals and they didn’t disappoint with the arrival of new champions in Manly’s Kendrick Louis and Noosa’s Lana Rogers – winning the coveted titles for their respective clubs for the very first time.

Surf Life Saving Australia, July 1, 2017: A record number of Surf lifesavers from around Australia will shift gears in their IRB’s for the National IRB Championships from the 13-15th of July 2018 at Thirroul Beach NSW.
Described as the V8s of Surf Rescue the national championship will bring together the strongest crews from across the country for both the Interstate Championships on Friday, followed by the Australian Championships on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Not only is it the first open Ironman title for the 27-year-old but also the first for the famous Manly club that has had winners in almost all events but had failed to claim the blue riband race.
